For those who are new to the group, last June we in Sullivan County, New York were hit by a devastating flood. I suffered
an inundated basement, and horrendous land erosion. But aside from an economic hole that greatly set us back, my wife
and I have largely recovered. The pond on our land had its water supply severed but miraculously it didn't simply turn into
a big mud hole. Instead the water leavel went down, then stabilized. Landscapers were hired and the pond was tapered,
with new plants added, and more.
Here's a recent view of the resusicated pond nearly one year after the dreaded flood of '06. (More to come.)
