This picture shows my son cutting branches off of the part of our 60 year old Cedar Elm tree that broke off about 20 feet up in the air. The same swirling gust (I don't think it qualified as a small tornado but it was close) that tore part of the tree down picked up our 200 pound meat smoker and flung it across the yard. The large umbrella from our patio table was carried back the opposite direction about 100 feet. The amazing thing is that this storm did this kind of damage for miles around.
Those of you who saw the 'splash' pictures from a week ago (or so) will be able to spot the yellow tub I used over by the house on the left side of the picture...
Anyway, none of us were hurt and all but the fence is cleaned up so we are back to enjoying life!
