Thank you for the clear explanation. I have another question (somewhat related) that I have asked before but never got an answer. In your first example of incorrect stereo window position, you not only have a w/v, but another problem that makes for uncomfortable viewing even if the shovel is not touching the window. In this and many cases a portion of an object near the side of the frame may show (or partially show) in one chip but not the other. Therefore when you put them together, you see the object (or part of it) in only one of the color levels. That also makes for uncomfortable viewing. What is this called? Cropping so that all parts of all objects are present in each chip might be a solution, but that may be difficult where there are many items in a "busy" picture. I see this often and wonder why it is not mentioned more. Any input would be appreciated.ThanksMainer
