This is inside the Menlo Park Replica Lab. The
picture is taken on the second floor
where in 1929 Thomas Edison recreated the first
electric light bulb. Henry Ford was so awed
that he had the chair that Edison stood on nailed
to the floor. The floor has since been redone
but the spot with the chair was cut out and put
back into the exact location on the new floor.
Present that day was many celebrities including the
President Of the United States as well as
many famous scientists. Edison told Henery Ford the
room was an exact copy of what he remembered
but their was one problem. Henry Ford asked, "what
may I ask was wrong?" Edison replied, " the room
was never this clean!"
