I come back a little bit with the stereo-geometry,
sorry.
A lot of works are talking about the diplopia and
ghosts on the stereo images.
I think that the ghosts and the diplopia are two
different things, while the articles sometimes writing that they are
similar.
I sent this image and you can see a little ghost on
the left horn of the cow. This is the ghost, result of the anaglyph
technic.
But: when you see the horns, you see the background
with diplopia, or when you see the background, you see with diplopia the horns.
This is disturbing??? For me on this image this
isnt a disturb. Perhaps this is only my opinion.
If this cow is "without horns": the image will be
perfect. OK? I shoted this image with 50 mm focal and 15 cm of stereo-base. The
nearest point was at 3 meters circa....
This effect of the horns is the OCCLUSION, I
think...
Using a shorter base, the diplopia can avoid, but
the same time the depth effect will be less...?!
