I know exactly what you mean about having to print a phantogram
to see it well. You got the right idea with the flat LCD monitor. I
got a 21” CRT monitor and it would take a crane to put it on its
back. I saw some phantograms that were done to look at from the left of
the monitor, and they looked quite impressive. I also once saw a warped
image on the side of a bus that only looked right from behind the bus and just
to the left. Anyway, thanks for your comments.

I recently got a LCD monitor, and I have been rotating phantograms so I can see
them from the side of the monitor turned horizontal. I get a lot better viewing
angle that way, and no need to print.
