That 24 tons of scrap steel could be used in a much better way my Dear friend,for example to built some dormitories for those many thousands homeless american citizens who sleep every night in a middle of streets of that most "powerfull" and "civilized" country of the globe,don't you think so? What is a real sense of making another strument of death and distruction with that tragic and burned dead material?!!!

It is the fifth in a new class of warship - designed for missions that include special operations against terroris! ts. It will carry a crew of 360 sailors and 700 combat-ready Marines t o be delivered ashore by helicopters and assault craft.

Steel from the World Trade Center was melted down in a foundry in Amite, LA to cast the ship's bow section. When it was poured into the molds on Sept 9, 2003, "those big rough steelworkers treated it with total reverence," recalled Navy Capt. Kevin Wensing, who was there. "It was a spiritual moment for everybody there."
