Hehe, with NO retinal rivalry whatsoever, you have... a Black-and-White Anaglyph ;)
 
However, EXTREME retinal rivalry isn't very pleasant, either, which is one of the reasons that I developed the ChromaTune-3D™ Anaglyph method in the first place.  I posted an image on Flickr.com (see the link below) which demonstrates how the method deals with extreme saturation of color in an anaglyph.  The results may not be to everyone's taste (Allan Silliphant, the Red-color super-saturator, for example), but it works for me.
