Even if it lack the romantic atmosphere Dariush is so fond of, La Défense is
worth a visit. I've worked there for 6 years and had appreciated this large area
where you can walk freely without encountering a car.
Until the construction of the Arch, it was a business only district and pretty
deserted and unsafe at night. Now many tourists can be seen there!

Here is another view taken from the part closest to Paris. In fact the town of
Neuilly-sur-Seine lies between La Défense and Paris. Neuilly is one of the
fanciest suburbs of Paris, our new President has been the mayor of the town for
nearly twenty years.
