French Lick Springs Resort & Casino rests on some 2,600 acres in the breathtaking Hoosier National Forest, on a site filled with rich history. The area, called French Lick, was one of the earliest outposts in the middle-Western wilderness, first settled more than 200 years ago by French traders. The valley became known as The Lick after the settlers discovered rich mineral springs, which attracted animals that flocked to lick the salt deposits left on the rocks.
