Hello Pierre,

Ghost tolerant..a lot of us are.. because we see generally only on our monitor and with our eyes. A soft to test stereoscopic pictures photo-video for all human will be appreciated and this could be a challenge for all stereo clubs but some need a bit to progress.
If you well follow the slide mount mode of all stereo clubs you need to balance (to equilibrate) a bit parallax  (surecartement in French) between front and background.
If you see the pictures bellow the best for eyes is the right one (same as with pop up and window violation) because their is a not too bad balance between front and back parallax. Not on the left because stereo base not appropriate for a mount behind windows and ghosting appear. If you want good balance (good equilibrate) and to respect the window mount the solution is hard and consist to calculate stereo base before shooting and of course not always with 30 of the distance... like this work only with F 50 mm to know where will be the window before to shoot. On the French list I send to you my own stereo base calculate depending of focal use and distance... try it and you will know exactly where will be the window with adapted stereo base for F 100 mm or F 25mm or else focal lens... close up, hyper stereo.

Of course during a travel it is very hard to found time to calculate stereo base before shooting.. if you do you will miss the UFO... ;-(
So the best solution will be a similar camera to permit to choice the right stereo base after shooting... 1-3...or 1-9 or ... it was one advantage of the Nimslo camera with four lenses... only.
Similar camera will be also appropriate for new generation of autostereoscopic monitor (free of glasses, see picture down this e-mail) at any distance... but this camera do not exist... we study how to make one with intervalometer function to permit 3D lenticular with animation (something similar "bullets time" effect of Matrix)

so the best solution for moment is a 3D visor/viewer to avoid calculation of window place.
but this viewer is a prototype with two video IN separates (one for each HD LCD) I'm studying for a China fabric... I expect they will (and I..like French distributor) edit soon a similar 3D visor but next generation will need to be Digital with Hdmi plug. This one is only analogical..not a problem for camcorder but a problem for two new Sony digital cameras with only Hdmi plug.
We will use it much more professionnally during october for a next 3D movie of the volcano of La Réunion island, for a volcano museum in the island (French Territory near south Africa)

For stereo base we use sometime a motorized stereo bare, permit also if necessary (more for video) convergence adjustment.

synch box for LANC/ACC plug, we use also Sheppherd or genlock time code camera pro.

Hello Jean-Marc,
Ghosts are quite dim on my monitor (not a pro monitor but nonetheless
calibrated) and do not bother me much but maybe I'm too much "ghost-tolerant".

Can you describe your "3D visor" and how it works ?

Pierre.
