I used to read and collect Playboy issues when I was in college. One day in 1964 I walked into a store right next to the train station in

New Brunswick, New Jersey. There were a few old magazines for sale in the back, one of which was Volume 1 Number 1 of Playboy.

! looked through the pages and it seemed so crude in comparison to later issues. Those were the days before "collectables" became desirable objects.

I passed up the opportunity to buy the very first issue of "Playboy" for only one dollar!

I am a collector of the Playboy magazines from 1963 and now I am seaching to find the 1950s issues on ebay! Occasionally I found and bought some issues.They cost a lot now but they are really fun and obviously a respectable collection!
