Dear Friends!
Thanks for your replies.
Yes, the image what I sent, was made with exactly 10 cm of base. So it is a hyper a little bit.
...."hey why are these people so small'....
I noticed the same during my proiection from the people, but I noticed that they told this when they was viewing a wide angle image.
In the older times, when the people saw only standard format of stereo pairs ( 50 mm lens, 50 mm viewer) it was easy to recognize a for example a stereo image made with wide angle lens. Today, with a lot of lens types, we are accustomed to view different perspectives, so perhaps, today using the term "hyper" is unnecessary.
Thanks again and best regrads!
Imre
Hello Imre,
well its hard to say if your picture is hyper or ortho - I would say
your stereobase is 10.5cm... but I'm not sure
Why is it so hard so detect this - in this picture there are no known
objects with known dimensions - like a car, or a person - if we DO have
such objects we are able to guess how large all other objects are -
this way one might be able to find out what stereobase was used. My
first HDV video was taken with the Sony FX1 - 14,5cm stereobase - when
viewing scenes with people even nonexperienced viewers notice that the
people are smaller as usual - my little niece (10 years old) asked me
'hey why are these people so small' - indeed she noticed it at 'only'
14.5cm stereobase! This projection was done on a 2m wide screen.
greetings
Werner
