Hi Mainer,
I enjoyed every anaglyph you posted. Very
pleasing scenery!
Sometimes, if the overexposure is very severe there may not be much you can
easily do to improve it after the fact. You can try several things in a
good editor such as Photoshop.
I would try one of these methods on each individual pair before combining
them...
In PS CS2 or CS3
Select the overexposed section with one of several tools available such as
the magic wand (or lasso).
1. Try the menu -> Image -> Adjustments ->
Shadow/Highlight...
2. Try the menu -> Image -> Adjustments -> Curves...
3. Try the menu -> Image -> Adjustments -> Exposure...
several adjustments
4. Try the menu -> Image -> Adjustments -> Levels ->
Eyedroppers
there are 3 of them... Normally you can use the
black one to touch on the darkest area of the picture, then the white one on the
lightest area and finally the gray one for in-between the darkest and lightest
or gray area. In the case of an overexposed area, experiment to see if any
of them help. If not, undo the changes and try something else.
Lastly, if you're very experienced with Photoshop you could probably paint
in a new area over the overexposed one. There's a neat feature under
filter called "Vanishing Point" that would allow you to map a grid over an area
that's in proportion and then add a pattern (gravel) or clone over the area that
would also taper off in proportion toward the vanishing point of the
pathway. Mike I. in the other group might be able to help with more
advanced techniques.

I would appreciate any advice on how to deal with the overexposure on
the walkway (after-the-fact).
Thanks
