Hi my dear friends,   It's a while I'm learning a new conversion method by the photoshop software. For this 2D - 3D  conversion, I have used the 'Louis Carlsson' 's depthmap method. his wonderful method works based on Photoshop 'Distort' tool and needs a depthmap for displacment of a 2d picture elements.  When you learn his mehod then you will find it  so pleasant, fast and easy to use! I made this conversion on les than 20 minutes.   My second upload or the Depthmap-Alien.jpg contains of some shade of greys. Shade of grey is meaningful for the Photoshop 'Distort' tool. darker grey means more displacment by the 'Distort' tool and vice versa. this depthmap has been generated by several selections i made on my 2D picture around my picture elements then the 'Louis Carlsson' machine has create this map. this depthmap has been used for creating my Alien conversion by the photoshop distort tool.   Cheers, Shahrokh.
