Here's another recent object from Christie's. "City-Space-Scape X" was made in 1968 of painted wood and Formica and measures about 24 x 20 inches. It was estimated to bring $40-60K at auction. To quote from Hunter and Jacobus' book American Art of the 20th Century: "Nevelson's elegance of form and workmanship is offset by the sense, at first glance, that her walls have been contrived from manufactured objects which carry no special personal meaning. The process of formalization is enforced by the very selection of objects, for their banality has already moved them closer to purification and muted the poetry of association." Sony CyberShot, cha-cha, PS. Sorry if it's not perfectly lined up to the edges of the window.
