This is a typical goldfield's pub. The original building had only two rooms. You can see where the brickwork shows the later addition. It is classified a heritage building. Built in the 1850's, it continued to be used as a hotel until the 1920's. Despite wearing socks, winter pyjamas, a track suit, a sleeping bag, a doonah and a blanket I
was chilled to the bone and got no sleep!
