this problem has appeared before; you have to 'highlight' the blank area to see the message (hold down the shift key and scroll over the blank area)

My system (or Yahoo's) must be messed up or something.

This below is the entire message that Marshall have sent.
Note that there is NO Marshall's words:
"Okay-- If you insist.  The backgrounds were soft on focus.  Another no-no isn stereography.  But I guess ignorance is bliss!!
"
I'm getting it not the first time.
Does anybody else receive empty replies?

Wojtek

PS. I must have also missed the original 'full color anaglyph', which was a real anaglyph, apparently.

Oh, you're right, of course, how COULD I not have realized that.  The fact that the picture reveals NOTHING of the signs' position relative to the bushes, trees, telephone pole and parked cars from a stereoscopic point of view should have been IMMEDIATELY apparent to me.  Thank you for bringing this to my attention, Marshall.

Here I was, silly enough to think that the group might enjoy a novel sign like this, and posted a stereoscopic picture of it since posting a flat picture would have been ridiculous for a 3-D Group.

Other members, please take note.  There is a valuable lesson to be learned here in choosing our subject matter carefully for 3-Dimensional photography.  We must not only be mindful of relative stereoscopic position of subjects to their backgrounds; we must also take care that the subjects themselves contain properly representative elements for X, Y and Z-axis reference points, that we may fully appreciate this particular medium.

Cheers,

Matthew

Although the subject warrants merit they are flat signs that don't benefit from stereo treatment.

Yes, this is a real sign!  I saw this sign on a side street, and I just had to stop, take out my camera rig and take a picture.
