Dariush, Mainer,

I have seen paintings framed in a way that are not sunken, but flush with the outward portion of the framing.  Although not as common as the conventional or typical framing we're used to, it does exist.  Even if you don't prefer that style of framing, sometimes it's refreshing to see just because it's different.  I personally prefer the type of frame that is designed to lead your eye into the artwork by utilizing it's contours and other design features to enhance but not overpower the art itself.  For me this is simply logical.  Creating anaglyphs however are not always subject to the same rules as other more conventional mediums, thus certain compromises must be made and accepted to accomplish certain tasks.

I believe we should try and be objective while open to new ideas/techniques.  Esthetics aside, there are other more important reasons for tools such as the Floating Window.  You may prefer ghosts rather than a floating window (subjective), but ghosts are not a constant value.  Some images have minimal ghosts while others are more overwhelming.  The FW will also vary by design until experimentation and opinions help to determine it's limitations.  We need to give the concept enough time though in order to judge it rationally.

I consider the Floating Window a tool, rather than an embellishment but it can be both when used appropriately. Time will be a factor in determining the worth of a tool which is new to most users.  Personally, I will keep experimenting with FW designs to reduce ghosting while attempting to appease opponents of the idea.  We all know that all uses of tools have their time and place.

Remember the old adage... You will never please everyone (at least not all the time), but I'd rather explore the possibilities than dismiss them before they have been fully tested.

Brian

Thank you Dariush. I value your opinion. I would only use a floating window if were not possible to eliminate bad ghosts in any other way.

After all I prefer the ghosts than a floating window! Here I have no impression to look at a deep scenario!! :-(   It look srange and unatural even if it's perfect and ghostless anaglyph!
Ciao Dear Mainer,

Well thanks to the genius who develops SPM (latest version), floating windows are now just a click of a button. What a great program!
