Mainer, that is a very normal photographic "best practice," especially with a back-lighted subject. Traditionally you would set your flash to expose approximately 1 stop less than your "ambient" exposure. I'm not sure what your choices are on the A560s, but I suspect there is a fill-flash setting of some sort on your menu.

Thanks for the suggestion Dan. I had to Google fill-flash. The original shots were so dark the there was almost no detail. It was because of bright sun just to the right of the subjects. I had no choice about where to shoot from. If I understand fill-flash correctly, I could have used a flash to brighten the subject...even in daylight. Interesting idea that I am anxious to try.

All very nice, well-made stereos! My only suggestion for possible improvement: The two airborne fellows might have been enhanced with a little fill-flash.
