Hi All,
Some of you may remember one of my earliest anaglyph attempts. My skills were pretty poor so Brian redid it for me. This is my original redo of his redo.
To reprise.
This is the bridge across the Barwon River estuary. It was built in 1927 and is the longest, at 308 metres, all-timber bridge ever built in Victoria, Australia. It has been a subject of controversy for years as it is said to be more and more structurally unsound.
After community "consultation" , independent reports, heritage investigations, etc. etc. the responsible authority decided that, against ALL recommendations, to replace the bridge with TWO bridges - a pedestrian bridge downstream but parallel and another traffic bridge using some of the original timbers.
The community was outraged. There were/are serious environmental considerations not addressed. Support gathered and when the bill to enable the
construction went to the upper house of parliament it was defeated. Oh Joy!!
Short lived. The "Responsible Minister" said "Stiff! I have decided that the two bridge proposal will go ahead." (or words to that effect.) So much for democracy!
Anyway Carby and I went to revisit the bridge on a rainy afternoon, to record some of it before it went away forever.
I think I was using a Nikon rig.
