The Verizon building rooftop I was standing on was built in 1943.  In 1970, they built another adjacent building on Charles St. which joins the older one on St. Paul Place.  The Charles St building is even higher in elevation so when you cross from one building to the other the floors are off by two.  In other words, the 9th floor of St. Paul is the 11th floor on Charles St.

 

I'm viewing the top of the newer building from the top of the older one.
