In stereo photography, depth greatly diminishes the further objects are away
from the camera(s). The best way to capture a distant view in stereo is
through the
use of hyper techniques i.e. separating the two cameras to create a wider
stereo base. Apparent depth will increase, although subjects may look like
miniatures.
There are formulas to determine optimum stereo bases, but the best way to
learn is to try various separation distances and compare the results. Soon,
assigning
stereo bases will become more intuitive.
