I have two SDM rigs. The rig that I use 95% of the
time is for landscape mode (horizontals). The other setup is mainly for
portrait (vertical) mode. I also use this
rig for close-ups, where a shorter than normal stereo base
is required. This is my first posting made with the portrait rig. The
first time I drove down this road
about five years ago, I stopped to marvel at this house
that seems in such a precarious position. Then as I was leaving the scene
a deer jumped in front of my
little BMW and I hit it on its rump.
Miraculously neither I, nor my car was damaged. The deer disappeared into
the woods, where hopefully it survived.
Every time I drive down this road I am reminded of
that harrowing experience, while at the same time I can only imagine what kind
of spectacular view can be
seen from inside that house way up there,
atop the hill.
