I don't agree. Wideangle shots are taken from a different perspective, and they can cause a distortion curvature that I strive to avoid.
When blowing up the WA "pano" to get a closer view reduces the overall quality.
Another factor to remember: Many believe that wideangles and panos are the same. 'Taint so. True panos are at least two
normal shots that when stitched together form a wider view while retaining a normal perspective. Wideangle "panos" are just shots taken
with a lens that pushes back the perspective while lopping off from top and bottom to give the view less height, providing
the illusion of a pano. But, when the view is magnified, there is almost always less resolution and detail than a true pano.
My computer has lots of memory and easily handles multiple large graphics files, so as long as the computer can do the
heavy lifting, I'll continue to strive for higher quality, true panos.
