Normally I wouldn't post this anaglyph because it was taken through my
window and consequently has light streaks and even rain drops in it. But
for the curious, this is what the truck tower rig looked like while it was
drilling the new well.
They arrived 7:30 in the morning and finished about 8:30 at
night. There were three large trucks and about 4 guys there at any given
time with the owner Jake, coming around occasionally to check on
things and helping out. When it got dark, they turned on lights mounted on
the tower. At one point they opened at least 14 or more bags of what I
thought might be quickcrete mix which they poured around well pipe which was
seemed to be floating in water. It turned out to be "grout" which is used
to prevent surface water from getting into the well. Unfortunately the
grout is a very sticky goowie substance that doesn't seem to dry. Once you
get it on your feet, it's difficult to get off.
