On this third version... the moon has been brought forward reducing the deviation about 1/3rd, the atmosphere smoothed out, and some of the original color was kept after the smoothing tamed some R/R of the blue color.

I know I said the Moon should be moved back in the first version, but, IMO, it's way too far back in this one.  It's a bit of a distraction to see the double image of the Moon while fusing the geese in the foreground.  BUT, everything else in the shot is very well done and looks fine.

Thanks to all that commented on my "South for the Winter" Canada Geese conversion.

As expected, some were apparently disappointed at the lack of depth and the 2D moon "plugin" I inserted at the last minute.  A few however liked it the way it was.  Goes to show once again, the variety of tastes we have in the group.  That's probably a very good thing.

I had another stereo shot of Canada Geese that was actually in sync.  It was taken within minutes of the other one.  I decided to take just one chip however and try another conversion since the geese were flying a bit closer.  I was still at the marina and captured them as they flew past the mast of a dry docked sailboat.

This time I opened up Photoshop and used it for some manipulation although the entire conversion was still done through SPM.  On this version I inserted the moon before doing the conversion instead of an afterthought as before.  This allowed me to push the moon back to satisfy those who found it too close.  I used some plug-in filters on both versions.  The moon was added with a filter in "Photo Impact 12".  The blue sky ended up having problems which I tried to fix but the final image ended up as basically grayscale.  I'm still not that great at Photoshop.  : (

Cheers,
