Hi dear Friends!
I congratulate for your new association!
I think, your association is the best unnecessary association of the World! :-)
The foating window, you want or not, there is on the real life too.
I dont want to give any suggestion, I think it is redundant for you.
My opinion is this:
You both are in a fase of the "stereo blindness".
I had this same period too.
For me the problem was that I dont had any "beta control" with me.
In other words: I dont had nobody who tested my images.....
I made a ton of bad and worse anaglyphs ( sorry to say, but I have them on my websites yet ) because the only control was my eyes.
More images I made, my "stereo blindness" augmented.
The first point what changed my " opinion about my images" was when I had the opinion from a professional "3D movie maker"...... ( http://www.3dexpert.net )
But I dont accepted his opinion, because he cannot say me: how much degree is the better deviation?
He said me: for me the deviation isnt important, I have my 3D control monitor form the cameras. If I see well the image I start to record. If not, I change tahe base or the focal, since on the control monitor I see well.
So I continued my way with some better results, but not enough good results.
After this, on the internet, in this anaglyph forum, I met Bill, who is a really good beta tester for anaglyphs.
With Bill we adjusted the opinions and rules, and started to do and mount my shots with the new rules suggested by Bill.
And here is when born the Floating Window.
The Floating Window is working in the 3DImax cinema too, and Ferweda wrote it too in his book, really he wrote it only like a mounting possibility for stereoscopes.
What I can suggest after this all? I suggest a beta tester for your images. Your "stereo blindness" will cured, if you have a tester.
DONT BELIVE OF YOUR OWN EYES!
Another important annotation: on this forum are a lot of "stereo blindness" people and a lot of "good friends".
The positive opinions and messages dont must influence the work!
I remember, years ago, I sent my images to this forum. Marshall was the best critic, and wrote me point for point, what are the rivalry. He wrote me: color rivalry, content rivalry, deviation rivalry.....It was excellent for me, I accepted the suggestions.
I wonder now, why Marshall do the contradictory?????
Final suggestion, I accept that you dont like the FW, your club is based for this.
For Marshall: With the Fuji try to shot the infinity from 2 meters, so you dont need the FW.
For Dariush: With your 11 cm base you try to shot the infinity from 3 meters.
But remember! This is only HALF depth.
I'm glad for your friendship, I dont want lose it!
Cheers: Imre
