Thanks Larry.  I tried using it in a bar Friday night and when it didn't flash, I assumed I had left it unknowingly with the flash option disabled.  Here is one of the pictures I was able to try before the battery was completely discharged.  The girl on the right had a red-eye from the flash.  I shifted the L & Right images around in SPM and cloned a darker shade to cover up the red-eye.  (My tip back to you).  I know the W1 has an anti red-eye option which I haven't tried yet.  Since the young lady was not facing me, I don't know if it would have worked anyway in this situation.  Believe me, I would have gotten a much better picture if my battery had lasted longer.  : (

I read in the manual that you don't have to wait for the battery to discharge before charging it back up.  Something I'll remember for this week. (another tip).  Thursday I'm invited to a private Christmas party at the club.  I plan on getting better pictures then.

Brian

Brian the auto setting works quite well outside, but inside I use auto but I force the flash. Sometimes inside the auto will not fire the flash unless it's forced. Just a tip for you.
Thanks LR
