The only stereo camera absolutly and perfectly aligned is my Stereo Realist, "handly made" at the U.S.A. in 1956! :-)) "They" knew the sense of the Perfection!

I thought the Fuji images were always perfectly aligned in the camera even if the camera isn't level.

Hello Masutrix.I would suggest aligning all the images you take with the Fuji W1 in SPM. You will see the difference for yourself and that will answer your question about it. The only possible way you could align the images perfectly within the camera, is if the camera was perfectly level horizontally when you took the image and even then, I would have my doubts.Brian----- Original Message -----From: MasutrixSent: Wednesday, December 16, 2009 5:05 AMSubject: Re: [Anaglyphs] Mastrix/BirdSpotPla ce?I did read the manual and there is a possibillity to align one of the lenses on the camera, maybe i gotta look into it and change it.But im a bit scary that it would f**k up the photo's that i take, can you see the same mis-allignment in all of my pictures ? Thnks for your advise and maybe i get better in shooting anaglyphs !GreetingsMasutrix----- Original Message -----From: Dariush RadpourSent: Wednesday, December 16, 2009 10:35 AMSubject: Re: [Anaglyphs] Mastrix/BirdSpotPla ce
Thank you for the reply.
the fact that you don't see a sufficent depth in some of your images can depent on the fact that you have no option to modify your stereo base when you take your subjects from the far distance! This must be the only limitation of this new camera that you can't get the hyper stereo images by modifing the distance between your twin cameras lenses,so the only way to do that remains the cha cha method! Check if all your images has that small alignment problem, if so, contact your camera dealer for changing it! I know, it must be a frustrating decision but it's better now than later!!

Thank you Dariush,I didn't align these images at all, i just copied them from the camera and made an anaglyph of it.Maybe i should align all my images in the future.I noticed that some of my pictures doesn't have much depth in it (difference in bleu-cyan) i think it's a setting or that i used the focus in a bad way. On the camera viewer they all look nice. I also bought the fuji v1 viewer and a tripod, so soon i wil post my nightshots..Greetings Masutrix----- Original Message -----From: Dariush RadpourSent: Wednesday, December 16, 2009 2:25 AMSubject: R: [Anaglyphs] Mastrix/BirdSpotPla ce
Nice spot choose, however your image has the alignment problem at the bottom right and some ghosts were visible! I send you a modified version where I adjusted the light, color and contrast with the photoshop.
