Hi Dan.
Some suggestions to try and help...
The images were quite small. Read about image dimension size and file
size (separate but related entities). Try to use a combination that gives
good quality but fills your monitor. If you want to post to the group
email instead of having a link to the image, you will need to keep the image
"file size" under 400k in most cases. The best thing to do is set your
camera up to shoot a high resolution picture. It's better to reduce the
size during editing than to enlarge it. You will have much better
quality.
Leave more area around your subject...
This will allow you to shift the left and right images to move the subject
either forward or backward without cutting the edge of the stereo window,
creating a window violation (wv) if the subject is in front of the stereo
window. Moving it forward can establish a "Through The Window" (TTW) that
I'm guessing is the effect you want for more "pop".
The L & R pairs need better alignment. If you use the windows
platform, I suggest using StereoPhoto Maker (SPM). SPM is an
excellent freeware and downloadable from the web. SPM allows you to
incorporate an auto-alignment feature which usually does much better than the
average manual manipulation.
I took one of your images and blackened the background so that I could push
it forward through the window (TTW) for a more dramatic effect without causing a
WV. (see attached). With planning ahead, you can reduce editing for
things like this by setting up your capture. For instance a
dark cloth for a background and stand for the model.
The attached image made from your small dimension size would
have resulted in a better outcome had I not had to do a lot of
editing. I hope that it gives you the idea however and help guide you in
the direction you want to go.
Thanks for getting involved in the group!
Brian

Subject: [Anaglyphs] First tries
Hi
all!
I've just uploaded two photos i just completed. Both are Enterprise
car toys from "Star Trek". The thing is i'm not too happy with them... They
don't really pop-up. Any help would be gladly appreciated.
Best
regards,
Dan
