This is a shot of my long-time friend who is professor of geosciences at Indiana University Southeast. He sent it to me and asked how I liked it, as it may appear on the cover of a book he is writing. Two of his main areas of expertise, meteorolo gy and astronomy, are highlighted.
I did not take the picture or do the composite work, but I did convert it to 3D using the pixel-shift/ layering method in Photoshop, then the clone tool in SPM to add "roundness."
