Hi Joan-ramon,
The major critique for your flower anaglyph would be for something called
retinal rivalry (R/R). There is definitely color R/R caused by the colors
in the image being too close to the colors of the Red/Cyan filters in the 3D
glasses used to view the image.
A possible second type of R/R is caused by a difference in lighting
between the Left and Right image that makes up the pair. This can be
caused in a couple of ways but most common when using the cha cha method,
allowing time between the capture of the left and right image to change its
lighting conditions.
Example: You take the left image and before you can take
the right image, the wind has moved clouds, or tree limbs outside causing the
natural light coming through the window to shift because of shadows.
R/R can also be caused in a cha cha or even a sync'd capture simply
by the angle at which the light reflection from an object is caught in one
lens compared to the other.
If the R/R is not too drastic, a solution is to clone the offending
portion of the image from one chip (L or R picture) to the other. SPM now
has a clone tool, or you can use another software such as Photoshop. These
applications can also help with the color rivalry by either de-saturating the
color or changing the hue. The image could be grayscaled (black and
white) if desired. SPM also includes a menu item that tries to match
the brightness between chips. This is helpful for that condition but more
may be needed to fix others causes.
Note: When using that feature in SPM to match brightness,
use the X key to switch the Left and Right chips so that the best lighted image
is on the left side before matching brightness since SPM tries to match from the
left to the right side.
Final note: Try to anticipate or in this case where
the subject is "set up" under a controlled environment, "plan" ahead so that the
colors are not blue or red. Sometimes even other colors may cause retinal
rivalry but by far it's normally Red and Cyan or blue.
Cheers,
Brian
