Although not connected to the Woodstock Music Festival
of 1969, the village bearing the same name has long been a
haven for liberal politics. As my wife and I were
strolling along the main street we encountered a small
demonstration
of mostly elderly women, protesting against the two wars
the United States is engaged in.
