Each panel of the Wall that Heals is assigned a letter
and number, and every ten lines of names on each wall panel is an unnumbered
dot. If someone wants to locate
one of the listed individuals he/she would consult
one of the books where all persons are listed alphabetically. After the
listed name, the number of
the corresponding Wall section is printed, along
with the numbered line. Then one would walk to the
numbered panel and count down from the top to the
corresponding
dot, and then read the names across that line.
Each line contains probably a bit more than twenty names, so once the rough
"address" is located,
it's relatively easy to find any specific
name.
