- Hand Me Down -

(OOF and 2D-3D)

I thought it might be fun to play around with this real sculpture on the side of a modern art museum in Baltimore, Maryland located next to Federal Hill at the Inner Harbor.

I took the picture in June 2007.  (Doesn't seem that long ago!)  I did this OOF version a couple of months ago as a 2D image.  Today I converted it 2D-3D using SPM.

The image of me was accomplished via remote control shutter release for my Pentax K10D using a 3 second time delay. (I'm holding the remote in my right hand).  This part was done about three years ago in my driveway.  (If I were to do this again, I would stand in front of a blank wall to make it easier to select my form through PS).  I tried to strike a pose similar to what I might look like hanging by one arm.  I used PS at that time to remove the background.  I resized the saved cut-out of myself to fit this image of the sculpture and combined the two.  Using the clone tool in SPM, I gave the 2D image some depth.

Cheers,
Brian
