?

Thanks John,

In this case I was able to create both frames in the same layer (in PS) rather than two frames in two layers.  Either way will work but sometimes one is more tricky, I guess depending on the image.  I'm getting a little more familiar with the practice which also helps.  I took your X-View format (after I balanced the two sides color wise in SPM, since the left was gray-scale) and selected, then copied the Left, and then the Right and pasted each individually into a new canvas in PS.  This is how I split the L & R and put them in different layers in PS so I could move them horizontally and adjust the frame for the correct depth to have both the cow's ears in front of the frame.  I also tried to lessen some minor R/R I noticed around the nose area.  I put the finished OOF photo on Flickr to which you have credit for taking the photo.

As I mentioned before, try practicing on 2D to get some experience at a somewhat easier challenge level.  When you're ready, take the techniques you learn and experiment with it on the 3D level.  Even 2D is kind of addictive and although not the same as a 3D format, the effect is meant to present somewhat of a 3D illusion even at the 2D level.

Wow! What an improvement Brian. I just can't imagine how you can edit each side and get the frame in the correct position on both sides to make an anaglyph.

Thanks

Good first attempt Mainer.  It takes a little practice.  Here's what I came up with.  I treated the image using PS in X-View format.  Then brought it into SPM and made an anaglyph and the final X-View.  Posted here of course, is the anaglyph.

Cheers,
Brian

Well this is my first try with this type of editing. I started with an angled frame but decided straight on made most sense in this case. Suggestions are welcomed. Thanks for the push Brian.
