In need of a long rest, coupled with the desire to
give the Group a respite from me, I cut away for a couple of
months.
During the interim I put limitations on my
photography and decided to visit Life by becoming more a participant, rather
than one
who records others' deeds.
But despite my efforts I felt naked without a
camera. So, for better or for worse, I returned, and here in succession
are three recent
offerings.
Valley Forge, Pennsylvania was General George
Washington's winter encampment for his troops during the Revolutionary War
(1777-78).
The site is now a national historic park. I
don't know what this pair of young ladies were up to on the day of my visit, but
I doubt that
the good general would have approved--or maybe he
would have felt that their presence might have been a morale-booster for the
men!
