For my first posting to the group (i don't even own a single lense camera, yet) I thought I would share something I stumbled up.

The subjects of these 2d to 3d simulations are derived from screen captures from a 20-year-old 1990 VHS video tape of a music video, by country music singers called "The Judds." That is why the subjects of the photo are so grainy and "muddy."

The last music video on that VHS videotape was filmed using "The Pulfrich Effect." Has "The Pulfrich Effect"  been discussed in the the group already? Here is the Wikipedia description:

I suspect that those with a sense of humor can accept the crude fidelity of these 1990 VHS screen captures images for the novelty of their subject:

The first two images are screen capped from the Pulfrich 3D music video sequence, The last four anaglyph images are from a documentary, also on that VHS tape, depicting how that Pulfrich 3D music video was filmed.

I hope you enjoy the irony I stumbled upon: anaglyphs of the filming of a Pulfrich 3D video.

Dave/San Francisco
