Thanks to everyone who commented on my recent images!
The day before yesterday, we had a lot of rain. It was on it's way up
the East coast toward New York per the last weather report I heard. It
left almost a foot of rain in some areas of MD. Another tornado touched
down about 2 miles from me (that's twice in a few months). Flooding was
wide-spread.
Here is an image I took of Oak Point Harbor Marina 2 doors down from me on
Thursday. The The water was over the piers. The marina cuts off
power when there is high water, so boats were either without power or were using
generators. I met an elderly couple that came down from Gettysburg to
spend the night on their boat with anticipation of going out the next day which
would have been Friday. The lady said the boat was too high for her to
climb aboard. She said "There's no power on the boat", apparently unaware
that the power was intentionally cut off by the marina.
A friend of mine told me his boat (located elsewhere) sunk because of the
rain. He said it was in fresh water so there would be no corrosion due to
salt. He was able to revive the boat.
Water is muddy but where I am the levels looked fairly normal today.
