The dark surrounding area and "cloud-like" plugin framing contributes to the perceived depth of view.
 
Had this been mine, I could not have resisted some digital manipulation.  Perhaps replacing the text on the box with skull and crossbones for example, and maybe a "coffin" graphic on the sides.

This is an anaglyph of silver tip cigarette paper filters. I tried to produce many layers of stereo using this frame.
