Although I passed on buying an antique telephone at an
antiques store outside Ellenville, N.Y. my eyes were
drawn to this 100+-year-old stovepipe hat, and as not
often the case, it was a perfect fit! I bought it from this
gentleman.
Next day I got up my nerve and wore it in a crowded
McDonald's restaurant. If some people thought I was strange,
they
kept it to themselves, although my friend, Amy. a
McDonald's employee was visibly amused.
Later, as I was departing I told her that I was warned
that a gentleman, J.W. Booth was looking for me!
