Mainer--
I know how you feel, and nine months after my dog
Turmoyle left us, I still get teary today over the loss of our
14-year
companion. But a week after she died my
wife and I drove nearly 1-1/2 hours away to the Humane Society, where Sarah
was impatiently
and vigorously calling out to us. She chose US (and not
the other way around).
Sarah can never replace Turmoyle, but she has since
plugged the hole of our emptiness and always brings laughter and love
to our
household once again.
Mainer, if you haven't already done so, you might want
to get another dog!

Subject: [Anaglyphs] Rest in peace Willie
A re-post of our beagle Willie. He was quite old and apparently
had been abused when we got him from the shelter. We had a great 10
years with him. He had a very happy life with us. I didn't realize
how much of a part of our lives he was until he was gone. There is a
real emptiness in our home now.
