It was water. It had been raining about a half hour ago. I was thinking myself along the same lines,also how perfectly flat the surface was.The water was not very deep as we only had a shower,and this was built almost 2000 years ago.Makes you wonder about the engineers they had back in those times. Never got inside,but I would guess it did'nt leak.

Well done batch from the series John. Both A & X versions are enjoyable.
Although the clouds (upper left) don't quite match in intensity between L & R, this is still my favorite because I find the top of the main structure on the left, very interesting. It appears to be either water or ice which presents interesting reflection properties. Seeing this, I was also curious if there was evidence of leaking on the inside. Were you able to go inside and if so can you appease my curiosities?
