Good capture by your friend. 
Interesting TTW window position. 
Was there some cloning work performed on the bottom 3rd?
 
All in all, very cool!
 
It might be an interesting experiment to rotate the cameras 90 degrees for another capture and position the alignment the same way but vertically instead of horizontally.  That would really make the viewer think a second longer than even this one did.
(just thinking out loud)  : )

A friend of mine has a set-up using two Canon DSLRs with which he can take 3D shots of a water splash.  He hasn't had much experience formatting 3D so he sent the original l/r images to me for post production.
