During a raptor flight demonstration I was fortunate to be in the right place to capture a sequence of photos as this ferruginous hawk made his approach for lunch. This is the 8th and next to last frame in the sequence. The bird knocked my hat off an instant later. I'm sorry if the quality of the image is far from perfect, but my continuous auto-focus was unable to keep up with the bird approaching at 40 mph (64 kph). The ferruginous hawk is common in Arizona where this photo was taken. The original photos were 2D, so I made this quick 2D to 3D conversion to share with the group. Nikon D200, 70mm lens, PS CS3.
