It goes without saying that the visual and aesthetic centre of attraction in this image is the high-brow magazine with its literary and intellectual content ? no doubt about that. Another issue is that with people who are aware of their good looks you never know if they are reading (i.e. thinking) or just pretending. ? J.V.
