Nice capture. A bit of a work-out for the eyes. Looks like the same herring gulls we have here. They will swallow a chicken drumstick whole...bone and all.

Rome was a sea-port about 2000 years ago but now is distant about 30 km from the sea shore.. but seagulls didn't leave it yet! :-)
