Hello,
Here is a detail of the Mandelbulb3D user interface (version 1.7.2).
On the right part of the main window you can set various parameters. Click the "Stereo" tab and three parameters are then displayed.
I still have to figure how they really work and how they should be used as their labels are somewhat confusing.
The readme file only says this:
Use real world values as parameters for calculating a 'left-eye' image relative to the current object view. If you set the minimal distance to low, the image may be shifted to much. For instance StereoPov has very straightforward "Stereo Base" and "Window distance" parameters but here we have "Screen distance", "Image width" and "Minimal distance".
With the current setting, diminishing the "Image width" will widen the stereo base (!!!).
Click first the "Calculate 3D" button to generate the right view, then, without changing anything (or maybe the "Image width") click the "Calculate the left eye image" button to render the left image.
I use values between 1 and 10 and try different values until I obtain a proper depth effect. The stereo window will be set afterwards with SPM.
For the full-sized image, I render at 6000x3600 with Scale 1:3. The image will then be 2000x1200 giving me enough space to correctly mount a WUXGA (1920x1200) final image.

John,
Why don't you Ask Jay or Pierre who are the ones that have experience and
have submitted images.
Off the top of my head I would say the term 3D as it applies to the app
means 3D modeling instead of 3D stereo. Create an image and save it,
then move the image in the app horizontally a little and save that 2nd
perspective. Then bring up both "L & R" perspectives in SPM and do
your final adjustments like a normal 3D stereo.

No way.Was not open yet,but my wife says she would like some Mexican
food,so we might give it a whirl.
I have the Mandelbulb program and
can move around in it pretty good, but I can not find a way to make it into 3D.
I realize the image is 3D and has to be made into anaglyph, but I can't
find a way to do it. Any advice?
