Thanks Marshall.  Maybe I used Dubois (I can't remember now) and didn't notice a greenish cast because wet sand seems to take on a similar appearance.  In any case I reduced the green (even more than usual) and even added some blue, lightened it and added more contrast (through IrfanView).  I didn't see a huge difference, maybe because the sand is yellow by nature.  I question if the "heavy" greenish cast was really that "heavy".  The revised version is attached.
